Day 4 of Mindbrand's "Wrong Way Week" is about Blogging:
Blogging is a valuable component of your small business' website. It drives traffic to your website and increases your SEO, as well as positions your brand as an industry leader and develops better customer relationships.
- "I only blog about my business, products, or services and use my blogs as a selling tool"
- Never blogging at all!
Blog... as much as you can each week! Blogging has more effectiveness in search-ability and organic traffic to your site than ad-words.
When you blog however, do not blog about your business, your products, or your services! Think about it, why talk about something that is already described within your website already? Its redundant and unproductive!
Write your blogs about tips and topics that are "related" to your business. For example: if you sell kitchen ware, blog about cooking tips or add recipes to your blog; if you are an interior design company, blog about the latest trends in color or decor.
Creating related interest topics will not only drive traffic to your site, but will also build trust as people read your blogs for advice.
